Validators
The Validators page tracks all P-chain validator staking activity and cross-chain transfers on Flare.
Purpose
Validator staking happens on the P-chain (Platform Chain), which is separate from the C-chain (Contract Chain) where most on-chain activity occurs. This page bridges both chains to give you a complete view:
- Track all validator stakes (current and historical)
- Monitor cross-chain token transfers between C-chain and P-chain
- View staking rewards earned from validator participation
- Analyse your staking history over time through charts and tables
"Validator staking is currently Flare-only. Songbird does not support P-chain staking."
What you will see
Automatic P-Chain Address Resolution
When you search for a wallet address, the platform automatically resolves your P-chain address from your C-chain address. This means you only need to enter your regular wallet address—we handle the cross-chain mapping behind the scenes.
View Modes
The page offers two main views accessible via a dropdown:
Table View — Choose between:
- Staking History: All stake transactions (stakes, unstakes, validator creation)
- P-Chain Transfers: Import/Export transactions between C-chain and P-chain
Charts View — Choose between:
- Validators: Staked amount per validator over time
- Delegations: Total delegated amount across all validators
- Balance: P-chain balance history
Staking History Table
The staking history table shows complete details for every validator stake:
- Type — Staked, Validator (self-bond), or Unstaked (displayed as colored pill)
- Validator — Validator name (when available) or node ID
- Amount — Stake amount in FLR
- Start Date — When the stake began
- End Date — When the stake expires or expired
- Duration — Length of the staking period
- Status — Active, Completed, or Pending (shown as badge)
- Reward — Tokens earned from this stake
"Validator self-bonds are highlighted in the table. These represent stakes where the wallet created its own validator node."
Search & Filtering
Find specific staking information using the search bar and filters:
Search Bar — Type-to-filter across all columns including validator names and node IDs.
Filters:
- Type: All, Staked, Validator (self-bond), or Unstaked
- Provider: All validators or select a specific one
- Status: All, Active, Completed, or Pending
- Amount Range: Filter by stake amounts
- Date Range: Select start and end dates
P-Chain Transfers Table
Track token movements between the C-chain and P-chain:
- Type — Import (C→P) or Export (P→C)
- Direction — Visual indicator showing transfer direction
- Amount — Transfer amount in FLR
- Date — Transaction timestamp
- Transaction Hash — Link to P-chain explorer
Filtering
Filters:
- Direction: All, Import only, or Export only
- Amount Range: Filter by transfer amounts
- Date Range: Select start and end dates
Chart Visualisations
Timeline-based charts help you visualise staking patterns and balances:
Validators Chart — Shows staked amounts per validator over time. Useful for tracking which validators you've delegated to and how your stake distribution has changed.
Delegations Chart — Displays your total delegated amount across all validators over time. Helps identify growth trends in your staking activity.
Balance Chart — Shows your P-chain balance history. Includes both available tokens and locked tokens that are actively staked.
Understanding P-Chain vs C-Chain
- C-Chain (Contract Chain): Where smart contracts, tokens, and most DeFi activity happens. This is the chain your wallet typically interacts with.
- P-Chain (Platform Chain): Where validator staking occurs. Tokens must be transferred from C-chain to P-chain before staking.
The platform automatically tracks both chains and shows you the complete picture of your validator staking activity.
