Tools
The Tools section allows you to execute common on-chain transactions directly from the dashboard without switching between multiple interfaces.
Purpose
Execute blockchain transactions with confidence using guided workflows:
- Perform wrap, delegate, claim, and stake operations without leaving the platform
- Get contextual help that adapts to your current state
- Verify transactions will succeed before signing
- Support for both browser extension and mobile wallets
"All tools are completely non-custodial. You always sign transactions in your own wallet. We never have access to your private keys or funds."
Safety Features
Every tool includes built-in safety checks to protect you from failed transactions:
Transaction Simulation
Before you sign any transaction, the platform runs a simulation to verify it will succeed. This preflight check:
- Validates you have sufficient balance for the transaction plus gas fees
- Confirms the contract call will execute successfully
- Shows you exactly what will happen before you commit
- Prevents you from wasting gas on transactions that would fail
If the simulation fails, the transaction button stays disabled and you'll see a clear explanation of what needs to be fixed.
Expandable Call Details
Each transaction button includes expandable details showing:
- The contract address being called
- The specific function being executed
- All parameters being passed
- Estimated gas cost
This transparency helps you verify exactly what you're approving.
Contextual Help
Each tool includes a help panel that updates based on your current state:
- No wallet connected: Prompts you to connect
- Wrong network: Guides you to switch chains
- Insufficient balance: Explains what you need and suggests next steps
- Ready to transact: Shows relevant tips and best practices
- Transaction pending: Provides status updates and explorer links
The help content is tailored to your experience level—showing guidance for new users while staying out of the way for experienced users.
Wallet Support
Browser Extension Wallets
For wallets like MetaMask and Brave Wallet, transactions appear as popup prompts that you approve or reject. Network switching is handled automatically with prompts when needed.
Mobile Wallets (WalletConnect)
Mobile wallets like Bifrost Wallet connect via WalletConnect. The interface adapts to mobile workflow:
- "Check Your Mobile Wallet" prompts when transactions are sent to your phone
- Extended timeout windows since approval happens on your device
- "Still processing" messaging to avoid false timeout errors
- You can dismiss notifications since transaction approval happens separately on your phone
Mobile wallets handle multi-chain internally—they route transactions to the correct network based on the contract address and chain ID.
What you will see
The Tools page uses a tabbed interface where each tool is a separate tab. Your current balances are displayed and cane be refreshed after each transaction.
Wrap / Unwrap
Convert between native and wrapped tokens: FLR ⇄ WFLR on Flare or SGB ⇄ WSGB on Songbird.
What you need:
- Native tokens to wrap, or wrapped tokens to unwrap
- Small amount reserved for gas fees
Features:
- Amount input with visual slider for easy adjustment
- MAX button that accounts for gas reserves automatically
- Toggle between Wrap and Unwrap direction
- Real-time balance updates showing both native and wrapped amounts
Gas Reserves: The system automatically reserves gas for transaction fees. On Flare, 1 FLR is reserved; on Songbird, 5 SGB is reserved. The MAX button accounts for this automatically.
Delegate
Set or update your FTSO vote power delegation. Delegate to up to 2 data providers to earn rewards.
What you need:
- Wrapped tokens (WFLR or WSGB)
- If you don't have wrapped tokens, you'll be guided to the Wrap tool first
Features:
- Search and select from the full provider list with names, logos, and APR data
- Allocate percentages between providers (must total ≤100%)
- See your current delegations before making changes
- Undelegate All button to remove all delegations at once
Note: Delegation changes take effect at the next epoch. Your vote power is locked until that epoch begins.
Claim
Claim eligible rewards from FTSO delegations orvalidator staking.
What you need:
- Claimable rewards (the tool shows what's available)
Features:
- Choose to receive rewards as native tokens or wrapped tokens
- See total claimable amount before submitting
- Claim all available FTSO rewards, or everything before a set epoch
Note: Claimed rewards become available immediately in your wallet.
Stake (Flare Only)
Create a validator stake on Flare's P-chain. This is an advanced operation that involves cross-chain transfers.
What you need:
- FLR tokens on the C-chain
- Understanding that staking locks tokens for a specified duration
Flow:
- Transfer tokens from C-chain to P-chain (if needed)
- Choose a validator or create your own
- Set stake amount and duration
- Confirm the staking transaction on P-chain
Note: Staked tokens are locked until the stake period ends. Early withdrawal is not possible.
